Syllabus compliance in AakashGuru is the process by which faculty mark and track the completion of planned syllabus topics for each lecture. This ensures alignment with academic plans, timely curriculum coverage, and quality assurance across all batches and branches.
Go to the My Schedule or My Batches module.
Find the relevant lecture and click on the Mark Syllabus action.
Select the topics you covered from the provided list and save your selection.
If you taught topics from other chapters, use the “Taught something else?” option to add them.
Save your entry to complete the process.
You can edit syllabus compliance for a lecture within the allowed window (typically up to 14 days after the lecture date).
After this period, edits may not be permitted.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| On track | Syllabus is progressing as per plan |
| Delayed | Some topics are pending or behind schedule |
| Not marked | Faculty has not yet updated compliance for that lecture |
| Upcoming | Future lecture; marking is not yet required |
After faculty mark compliance, the Academic Head reviews and verifies entries for accuracy.
The status will show as Verified or Pending based on AH action.
In My Batches, each batch displays a syllabus status indicator for the latest completed lecture.
The Lectures tab within batch details shows compliance for each lecture.
Use filters in My Schedule or My Batches to view lectures by compliance status (On track, Delayed, Not marked, Upcoming).
Use the option to add topics from other chapters when marking compliance to ensure all taught content is accurately recorded.
Lectures with Not marked status are highlighted in your dashboard.
You may receive reminders or notifications for pending compliance.
Persistent delays may be escalated to your Academic Head.
Report discrepancies to your Academic Head or EDP team for correction.
Syllabus compliance data is used by faculty, Academic Heads, and management to:
Monitor curriculum coverage
Identify delays
Ensure academic quality
Faculty are expected to mark compliance promptly after each lecture, ideally on the same day.
You can review historical compliance data for past lectures in both My Schedule and My Batches modules.
