Introduction

Student End Board Browsing allows students to view and navigate through all slides or boards created by the teacher during a live class.
Students can review previous content in read-only mode and instantly return to the teacher’s current slide using a persistent Live indicator.
This feature improves note-taking, comprehension, and overall learning flow without interrupting the teacher.

What can you do with student end board browsing?

Students

  • View all slides created or uploaded by the teacher

  • Open any previous slide in read-only mode

  • Review content and take notes without affecting the live class

  • Instantly return to the teacher’s current slide using the Live icon

Teachers

  • Continue teaching without any change in workflow

  • Optionally restrict student browsing when required

Using student end board browsing

Browsing previous slides (Student)

  1. Join a live class.

  2. Open the Slide Browser panel.

  3. View the list or thumbnails of available slides.

  4. Select any previous slide to open it in read-only mode.

Students can freely review earlier slides without impacting the teacher or other students.

Returning to the live slide (Student)

  1. While viewing a previous slide, locate the Live icon.

  2. Tap the Live icon at any time.

  3. You are instantly navigated back to the teacher’s current slide.

The Live icon updates automatically as the teacher moves across slides.

Feature behavior and rules

  • Slide browsing is strictly read-only for students.

  • Students cannot navigate ahead of the teacher’s current slide.

  • The Live indicator shows the teacher’s current slide with a red pulsing dot.

  • A browsing banner indicates that the student is viewing a past slide.

  • Lazy loading is used to maintain performance for large slide decks.

  • If the teacher restricts browsing, students cannot access past slides.

Data & performance behavior

  • Slides are loaded on demand to ensure smooth performance.

  • Large slide decks are handled efficiently without affecting live class stability.

  • Live slide status is updated in real time.

Access & permissions

Students
Can browse previous slides and return to the live slide when browsing is enabled.

Teachers
Can enable or disable student slide browsing based on class requirements.

Troubleshooting

Slide does not load
Retry loading the slide. If the issue persists, return to the live slide and re-open the browser.

Slide deleted while browsing
You are automatically redirected to the live slide with a message indicating the slide was deleted.

Live icon not updating
Wait a moment for sync. If the issue continues, return to the live slide manually.

FAQs

Can students edit slides while browsing?
No. All slides open in read-only mode.

Can students browse ahead of the teacher?
No. Browsing is limited to slides already created or shown by the teacher.

Does browsing affect the teacher’s presentation?
No. Student browsing is completely independent of the teacher’s view.

Can teachers turn off slide browsing?
No.
